Alice is a cellist, composer, and industrial designer. She creates multi-media performances with an emphasis on live improvisation, humor, and story-telling. She has worked as an improvising musician with comedians, dancers, and video artists. In addition to performing in metal, jazz, ambient, and gamelan ensembles, Alice designs and fabricates experimental musical instruments and interfaces to expand frameworks of composition, performance, audience participation, and creative inclusion. In 2026, Alice has been performing and working in residence across Western Massachusetts and New York, most recently at MASS MoCA.

Being a performing musician allows me to be in the world in a way that feels true to who I am - full of ideas, curious about the world, and passionate about people having fun. When people approach me after a show to say “that was medicinal”, “haven’t laughed like that in ages”, or “thank you, I needed that”, I remember that performance and expression is an act of service. I happily serve as a multi-media story teller, merging music, humor, and moving image to create something, anything.
